Job Title: Sales Executive – Construction Chemicals

Location: Surat

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Area Sales Manager

 Job Summary:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth of construction chemical products through dealer networks, contractors, builders, and project sites. The role involves market development, relationship management, lead generation, and achieving sales targets in the assigned territory.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop and expand dealer / distributor network in the assigned territory.
  • Generate new business from contractors, applicators, builders, and developers.
  • Identify and convert project opportunities (residential, commercial, infrastructure).
  • Promote products such as waterproofing, tile adhesives, grouts, admixtures, repair products, etc.
  1. Market Coverage & Relationship Management
  • Conduct regular market visits to dealers and project sites.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, and project managers.
  • Ensure visibility and placement of products at retail counters.
  • Collect competitor market intelligence (pricing, schemes, activities).
  1. Collections & Credit Control
  • Ensure timely payment collection from dealers and customers.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and follow up regularly.
  1. Technical Support & Coordination
  • Coordinate with technical team for site trials and product demonstrations.
  • Assist customers in product selection and application guidance.
  • Resolve customer complaints in coordination with internal teams.
  1. Reporting & MIS
  • Submit daily visit reports and weekly sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecast and pipeline tracking.

 Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of construction chemicals and building materials.
  • Ability to handle dealer & project sales.
  • Target-driven and self-motivated.
  • Basic understanding of waterproofing, tile adhesive, admixtures, or dry mix products.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics.

 Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate (Any discipline) – Preferred: Civil / Marketing background.
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction chemicals / building materials / cement / paints / tiles.
  • Experience in retail & project sales preferred.

 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Monthly sales target achievement.
  • New dealer / contractor additions.
  • Collection efficiency.
  • Market expansion.
  • Secondary sales growth.
