Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive business growth for Construction Chemicals in Chennai and Tamil Nadu region. The candidate will be responsible for managing regional sales operations, dealer/distributor network, project sales, key accounts, collections, and team performance while achieving revenue and profitability targets. The ideal candidate should possess strong market knowledge of construction chemicals, waterproofing products, tile adhesives, admixtures, flooring, or allied building material industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve regional sales targets in terms of volume, value, and profitability.
- Develop and expand dealer, distributor, applicator, and contractor network across Tamil Nadu.
- Drive project sales through architects, builders, consultants, PMCs, contractors, and institutional clients.
- Lead, mentor, and monitor regional sales team performance.
- Prepare and implement regional sales plans, forecasting, and market penetration strategies.
- Generate new business opportunities through site visits, market surveys, referrals, and key customer engagement.
- Manage key accounts and ensure strong customer relationship management.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, technical discussions, and promotional activities.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain financial discipline in the region.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements to strengthen market share.
- Coordinate with technical, logistics, marketing, and finance teams for smooth business operations.
- Organize dealer meets, influencer programs, training sessions, and promotional campaigns.
- Prepare MIS reports, sales analysis, monthly reviews, and business performance updates for management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Business Administration. MBA preferred.
- 8–15 years of experience in Construction Chemicals, Waterproofing, Admixtures, Tile Adhesives, Paints, Cement, or Building Materials industry.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in team handling and regional sales management.
- Strong network with builders, contractors, consultants, architects, dealers, and infrastructure companies in Tamil Nadu.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of project sales and channel sales.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and reporting systems.
